This Friday 9/14 @ The Ogden

Another Coloradical is one step closer to rubbing elbows with the stars. After a solid stint on Pretty Lights Music, Alex Botwin, known in knob twiddling circles as Paper Diamond, inked a deal with Diplo’s Mad Decent imprint earlier this year (I remember hearing a rumor about it in Miami). On the off chance you’re unfamiliar with Diplo’s novella-esque resume, launching M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes” into the stratosphere put him on the map, while Beyonce, Snoop and even the Biebs have been keeping him there as of late. Botwin is all about the sloppy seconds remix work right now—especially since it keeps the boss man slap happy enough to rep his originals. WaveSight, a three-song EP featuring “Can we go up,” is the latest collection to see the light of day. This fall’s Night Vision Tour kicks off Friday at The Ogden. Paper Diamond Scissors? You know what to do.
