Rumor has it MTV will be shooting at Red Rocks this Friday night, where the tenth annual edition of Colorado’s Global Dance Festival is set to kickoff. Considering mainstream America’s relatively recent embrace of dance music (deadmau5, an artist who’s headlined Global in the past, just graced the cover of Rolling Stone), it’s hardly surprising the music channel would send cameras to an event featuring Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello and Knife Party, among others. After all, they have covered similar soirees including Electric Daisy Carnival in Vegas and Beatport’s Beach Party in Miami. Global bound Friday? Be sure to get there early (word is Ecotek’s 9:30 pm set is on the shot list) and look sharp. Girls: panties and pasties might be liberating (and cool, temperature-wise) to get down in, just make sure you’re okay making your national television debut in them.
