Karma Points: Ready to Rock

The Moderators
The Moderators

Because it’s typical to see at least see one live music act per week (this is Denver after all), why not fill your appetite for guitars and drums tonight at “Rock for Youth!” to support Metro Denver Partners.

The tunes will blare at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill in Stapleton, 8260 Northfield Blvd. Ste. 1370 starting at 7 p.m. The benefit concert will raise funds to help Metro Denver Partners’ mentoring and gang intervention activity in the Denver metro area. Metro Denver Partners has helped over 16,000 youth in its 40+ years and seeks to “promote a safe and growth-oriented environment in which at-risk youth can develop and flourish through: friendship and commitment, mentoring and role modeling, education and guidance and family support.”

Appetizers will be served form 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., and don’t forget to stop at the ATM on the way to partake in the cash bar. Doors open at 7 p.m. and The Moderators, a cover band comprised of seven CEOs and presidents of Denver-based companies, will take stage at 8 p.m. All the while KOOL 105 DJ Stephanie McHugh will emcee the event.

The Moderators play classic rock-n-roll from the ’70s through the ’90s. Songs like “American Girl,” “Brown Sugar,” and “Vertigo” can be expected from this band whose main mission is to play for charity events benefiting kids.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online or at the door, and all proceeds go toward the goal of raising $20,000. To learn more about Metro Denver Partners and how you can help them help the youth of Denver, visit www.metrodenverpartners.org.
