There’s nothing better than the hunt – for great clothes, that is. Well, okay, it does get better when you actually find that perfect garment but at a total steal. And now, Denver fashionistas have just the place to shop for high fashion at low prices. Frock Shop – not in any way related to last week’s post about Frock Out 2012 – is a new pop-up shop devoted to offering designer goods at a discount. The store, which is located at 1070 Bannock St. (the home of Fashion Denver), is holding its first sample sale this Saturday, April 14, and Sunday, April 15, from 10 am – 6 pm. Shoppers can expect to find highly discounted items from well-known retailers as well as one-of-a-kind items from local designers.
“Frock Shop is an exciting opportunity for Denver’s independent boutiques and designers to be able to offer high style,” says Frock Shop Owner, Katie Gartner. “Frock Shop is also a great way for shoppers to discover Denver designers and boutiques that they may not have been aware of.”
The idea behind the store is for designers and retailers to be able to liquidate their inventory while providing shoppers with high-quality designer clothing at a fraction of the cost. As such, you’ll find clothing and accessories at 50 to 80 percent off specialty store prices from boutiques and designers that include Garbarini, Goldyn, PJ’s Boutique, Free Ravin, Audrey Marie, Blush and GoGoMarj.
This weekend’s sample sale is the first of several that Gartner plans to have throughout the year. She’s also planning one in August and another in December. After that point, she plans to offer seasonal sample sales four times per year. Don’t wait until August though. The time is now to shop for some great spring pieces to spruce up your wardrobe.
