The legendary duo of Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def) are ready to grace Denver with their presence on May 11 at Cervantes. Joining them will be Whosane and Denver’s own Foodchain and The ReMINDers.
If you haven’t already heard some of the new material, give “You Already Knew” a listen. It’s also been said that they’ve been hard at work on a new album and an Aretha Franklin-inspired mixtape, set to drop sometime this spring (read: “soon”). With so much work on the horizon for these two, it’s certainly going to be a flood of brand new material from Black Star.
I’m not sure what you’re waiting for, but if you need more convincing, here’s their appearance on Colbert Report in October. And if a Colbert Bump can’t convince you, then you’re officially hopeless.
