Most fashion designers want more support and inspiration to take their skills to the next level. It could be for dreams of opening their own boutique or even one day showing their line at New York Fashion Week. Either way, it’s a deep passion that drives this industry, and impeccable skills are what separate the good from the great. Luckily, the Denver Design Incubator is a place of creativity and innovation that allows designers to build upon an already established fashion and design knowledge base.

DDI is holding an open house on Nov. 1 from 10 am-4 pm for aspiring fashion designers who are interested in honing their skills and growing their business. Fashion design students and interested local designers should stop in to tour the space, get feedback on portfolios, try the industrial sewing equipment to finish samples, and learn more about the Designer-In-Residence program (an intensive two-year program that accepts three to seven applicants committed to advancing their careers in fashion design). Current designers-in-residence, Jeanne Connolly and Kristen Littlejohn, will be on hand to answer questions. DDI’s Executive Director, Holli Gibson, and DDI’s Founder and Chairman of the Board, Ruston Coburn, also will be in attendance.
