Cake Crumbs offers a variety of gluten free baked goods. Their cupcakes and brownies are the most popular but Cake Crumbs is also able to make gluten free special occasion cakes (call ahead to order). They offer a few varieties of gluten free cupcakes: red velvet, lemon, vanilla, and chocolate are the most common. Unlike other gluten free cupcakes I have tasted and even baked myself these ones didn’t cave in the middle or fall apart. The flour Cake Crumbs uses is from Outrageous Baking Company in Boulder. It makes for a cupcake that has amazing stability and a great flavor and texture. The icing on the cupcakes is extremely rich and creamy and compliments the cake nicely.
I also sampled the gluten free chocolate peanut butter brownies. These literally melt in your mouth. The brownies are light and airy. The peanut butter intertwined throughout the brownie is amazing and very creamy.
Cake Crumbs bakes their gluten free products and then freezes them. It’s recommended you call ahead to let Cake Crumbs know you are coming by so they can start to let the product thaw. In fact, I ended up re-freezing the chocolate peanut butter brownies and letting individual ones thaw out throughout the week. Honestly, I liked them even better straight out of the freezer. They keep very well and don’t dry out. They have the same great taste even after being in the freezer a couple of days.

Cake Crumbs has been baking gluten free for the last 2.5 years. They use the same care to bake gluten free as they do with their regular baking. The shop and staff are warm and welcoming.
