Saying that this is “the annual end of fiscal year fundraiser campaign” sounds, well, a tad bit blasé–especially for the likes of Ballet Nouveau Colorado, who are anything but. What should be said is that this one night only, open house and disco dance off party is going to be a superbly entertaining way to get attendees involved in what BNC is doing better than any other dance company in Denver, and help them meet their 100,000 dollar goal by July 31.

And, what better way to feel good about forking over some dough (besides supporting an awesome cause) than with free food, interactive dance demonstrations, and drawings to win yourself some prizes. Plus, you can finally feel what it is like to be a BNC dancer (kind of) with an opportunity to step in off of the sidelines and join their Flash Mob, which is being taught by BNC’s Associate Artistic Director. Then, of course, there is the Disco Dance Off portion of the event where you can either collect donor pledges or pay to enter. They will be handing out awards and prizes for inventive dance moves, hair, shoes and all around costume. Plus, the event will allow you to rub elbows with the people responsible for such amazing shows like, Carry On and Rarities & Oddities, and see the inner workings of a company dedicated to presenting unconventional and exciting experiences in ballet.
