Fashion Fridays – Festive Style for the Fourth

In the spirit of our fine nation and its independence (and an extra-long holiday weekend!) I’ve compiled some of my favorite red, white and blue things for the summer.

Red can be an intimidating color, but here are some easy ways to integrate red into your wardrobe this summer.

Christian Louboutin does some amazing shoes and I especially love his wedges. Check out these that have a touch of red, as well as the signature red sole.

For a more affordable option, I adore this Forever21 geometric print dress. It’s effortless and so on trend!

Red lips are the perfect way to top off any summer outfit. Either with a tee shirt and jeans or glamourous night on the town. This YSL color is not only great with all skin tones, but comes with SPF!

White is essential to any summer wardrobe – it’s so ethereal and whimsical. Obviously sunglasses are an important part of any ensemble, but they are also necessary for sun protection. These Marc Jacobs are so chic!

Also an important part of protection, is sunscreen. One of the best on the market is La Roche-Posay Anthelios. It does the job and is perfect for those obsessed with beauty (and those who want to pay for the best).

A summer outfit is not complete without the perfect white bag. I love this easy Rebecca Minkoff crossbody bag with zipper details. It’s ideal for going out at night or riding your cruiser around when you don’t want to take too much with you.

Blue is one of my favorite colors, and I found some cool blue pieces for summer. I love this bikini from J. Crew. It’s so preppy!
