Summer is the time for restaurants to shine and sizzle. Last week, Elway’s Cherry Creek hosted the annual HOT ROCKS GRILLER benefiting The Denver Health Foundation where 12 chefs made 24 creations. The restaurants included: Rioja, Lola, Sketch, Solera, Elway’s Cherry Creek, Elway’s Downtown, Panzano, Barolo Grill, TAG, Stubens, and City Bakery. Drinks where provided by Three Olives and Bing. All the food was amazing and I suggest any of these restaurants for your slider delights!


With this sizzling hot theme, I got inspired by last week’s GQ Magazine and Bombay Sapphire bartender competition, which took place at the JW Marriot Cherry Creek, where many bartenders from around the state took to the kitchen with gin and created some great and not-so-great Bombay cocktails. So, I went on a hunt in the city for specialty cocktails.  I ended up at Olivéa in uptown.  Olivéa’s cocktail menu screams summer! The strawberry fields, the cucumber cool, and basilius are the ones I tired and loved everyone. I will be cooling off with these cocktails all summer long!
