The streets were filled with people getting a taste of Italy this weekend at the Festival Italiano in Belmar. The streets were lined with food from pizza and sausage and pepper sandwiches to cannolis and rice crispy treats. Wine was a common theme with venders. They sold hand painted wine glasses and cheese plates made of flattened wine bottles. There was wine tasting and grape stomping along with live music from the Deano Quartet and the Italian Accordion Duo – Dan & Kim Christian. With the sunshine and face painting the kids had a great time too. Look for yourself among the revelers in this gallery.
