If you’re familiar with the band, it was the perfect setting when an epic lightning storm rolled into Denver 3 songs into Metallica’s set. After a lightning delay, it was hard to differentiate the sound of thunder and the music flowing out of Mile High Stadium last night. The Metal Gods came on after popular band Avenged Sevenfold warmed up the crowd with chants and pyro. Metallica opened up their set with their new single and ended with fire works lifting above the home of the Super Bowl 50 Champion Denver Broncos. Photography by Kyle Cooper
