The rhythm and energy of New Orleans came to visit Red Rocks Amphitheater on June 28. The Big Easy’s beloved young star Trombone Shorty and his band Orleans Avenue brought hometown legends Cyril Neville, George Porter Jr., Dumpstaphunk, Tank and the Bangas, The Soul Rebels, and Big Freedia. As brass players danced and Shorty’s trombone soared through the mountain air, the musical spirit of New Orleans inspired bounce and shake in the wholly invigorated Denver crowd.
