Haitian-born producer Francis Mercier took the stage of Club Vinyl this past Saturday for a unique set of a wide range of genres. While growing up and attending French international high school Francis became influenced by a number of different cultures and sounds, from Tiesto, to Jamaican reggae such as legendary act Black Uhuru, to the sounds of traditional Kompa & Haitian rap. The crowd was on their feet the entire night as Francis took attendees on a journey through his influences. Keep a look out for more of Francis and his Deep Root Records label, a 100% black-owned dance label committed to supporting and showcasing talent from around the globe.
