Phish kicked off their annual Labor Day weekend run at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on August 29, 2024, with a performance that was both expansive and exploratory. The night opened with a performance of “Cities” by Talking Heads, setting the tone for a set filled with deep jams, including an extended “Down with Disease”. The second set was highlighted by a 23-minute version of “Pillow Jets,” which became the longest rendition of the song to date, showcasing the band’s improvisational prowess. The encore of “Say It To Me S.A.N.T.O.S.” wrapped up the evening on a celebratory note, leaving the crowd eager for the nights to come.
