Denver Restaurant Week is back once again beginning this Friday, February 23 through Sunday, March 4. This year boasts more than 200 restaurants to try. A majority of restaurants below are $35 (not including tax and gratuity) for a prix fixe menu, so you can get a quality meal that won’t break the bank. Reservations go fast during DRW, so check out the menus and book as soon as you can.

Abejas
Where: 807 13th St., Golden
Cost: $35
The Lowdown: Abejas is a community-focused restaurant that uses local produce, organic meats and sustainable fish. For DRW, they have both meat and vegetarian options including spinach cavatelli and braised short ribs. Finish your three-course meal with either the chocolate cheesecake or the almond rum raisin cake. Check out the full menu.
Avelina
Where: 1550 17th St., Denver
Cost: $35
The Lowdown: Avelina is a New American restaurant in LoDo with a full bar, so enjoy a beer or cocktail with your grilled lavender boudin blanc and lobster agnolotti. Avelina’s DRW menu is a three-course meal with meat, seafood and vegetarian options for everyone. See the full menu.
Bacon Social House

Cost: $35
The Lowdown: With Bacon Social House’s DRW menu, you get an appetizer, main course and three dessert options, two of which incorporate bacon. A bacon sundae definitely sounds like a good way to end a meal. See the full menu.
The Bindery
Where: 1817 Central St., Denver
Cost: $45
The Lowdown: The Bindery has European inspired dishes that are interesting and unique. Try the Rabbit Rarebit appetizer with beer-braised smoked rabbit, mustard, Vermont cheddar and pecans followed by the braised beef cheeks for your main course. See the full menu.
Citizen Rail

The Lowdown: Citizen Rail is one of LoDo’s newest—and most popular—steakhouses, so you know its DRW menu is going to be amazing. Go with the 12-ounce New York Strip or try something new with the coal-roasted squash. Either way, you won’t be disappointed. See the full menu.
Concourse Restaurant Moderne
Where: 10195 E. 29th Dr., Denver
Cost: $35
The Lowdown: Concourse Restaurant Moderne is chef Lon Symensma’s third restaurant in Denver and focuses on American cuisine and pays tribute to Stapleton’s aviation history. Its DRW menu will leave you stuffed from the four-course meal with four dessert options. Try something new with the bacon and octopus risotto balls with smoked tomato butter. See the full menu.
D Bar Denver
Where: 494 E. 19th Ave., Denver

The Lowdown: D Bar is known for its desserts, so it’s no surprise there are eight dessert options on the DRW menu. Come for the dessert but don’t skip on the entire meal. Start with some Crue Fries—Parmesan fries with “mac” sauce, cheddar-jack cheese, bacon, ranch and chives. Finish on a sweet note with the American Dream, a confetti cake with American buttercream egg beater and a mini sundae. See the full menu.
Departure Restaurant + Lounge

The Lowdown: Departure is one of Denver’s many modern Asian kitchens and is serving up a menu of goodness during DRW. Kani avocado roll and grilled skirt steak skewers are among the starters with Korean roast chicken and Mongolian beef as entree options. Vegetarian options are also available. See the full menu.
El Five

Cost: $45
The Lowdown: Grab dinner and a view at El Five. The restaurant creates favorites from different Mediterranean regions. Enjoy the oil-poached albacore tuna served with heirloom roasted potatoes, olives, cipollini onions, duck eggs, crispy shallots and an herb vinaigrette. You won’t go hungry with this meal. The Family Jones Spirit House

The Lowdown: The Family Jones is known for the drinks, but you you’ll definitely want to join the family for a meal here during DRW. Try the Vietnamese jambalaya with spent grain for the first course and the spinach-ricotta cannelloni with egg, smoked mushrooms, pickles and sunflower seeds as the second course. Hearth & Dram

The Lowdown: With 300 options of whiskey from around the world to choose from, you’re not going to want to drink on an empty stomach at Hearth & Dram. This rustic American restaurant has an exquisite menu for DRW, including king salmon and smoked hanger steak as main course options. See the full menu.
Hedge Row American Bistro

The Lowdown: Hedge Row is an American bistro with a rustic atmosphere and wood-fire oven that gives a little extra perfection. A best seller at Hedge Row and included in the DRW menu is the Boulder Natural half chicken, served with curried couscous, almonds and sumac yogurt. See the full menu.

Hickory & Ash
Where: 8001 Arista Pl. Suite 150, Broomfield
Cost: $35
The Lowdown: Hickory & Ash has a Colorado-centric menu with plenty of vegetarian options that stand out just as much as the meat options. Start with the lobster bisque with black truffle dumplings and herb cream, then dive into the kabocha squash gnocchi, served with mushrooms, leeks and pumpkin seed pesto. Your mouth will water thinking about the PB&J candy bar with raspberry, salted caramel and dark chocolate. See the full menu.
Leña

The Lowdown: During DRW, Leña will no doubt provide quality Latin American food. The four-course meal consists of meat, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Try the sope pato confitada—duck made with blue corn sope, carrots, squash puree, orange, charred onions and cilantro. The Lowdown: The view of downtown Denver isn’t the only spectacular thing at Linger. Offering menu items from around the world, you won’t be able to get enough. Korean BBQ tacos, chicken and Chinese sausage lettuce wraps and lamb T-bone Thali are among the many options from around the world that Linger has to offer. Vegetarian options are also available. LOW Country Kitchen

Cost: $25
The Lowdown: Bringing the South to Denver, LOW Country Kitchen offers a wide variety of southern dishes. LOW’s DRW menu offers the classics including fried green tomatoes with avocado dressing for the first course and shrimp and grits for the main course. The Nickel
Where: 1100 14th St., Denver
Cost: $45
The Lowdown: Located at Hotel Teatro, The Nickel will provide an exciting meal for DRW in the Theater District. The Nickel is offering a four-course meal consisting of favorites from the standard dinner menu. Choose from the fried catfish with comeback sauce and buttermilk powder or the seared scallop with sunchoke and a 12-year balsamic, among other mains, and a plethora of starters and shared plates. Old Major

The Lowdown: Old Major is celebrating five years, so join the party and enjoy some great food and drinks. While the menu is small, it’s filled with greats such as the George Banks Scallops, served with potato puree, shiitake mushrooms, almonds and salsa verde. Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox
Where: 1215 20th St., Denver
Cost: $35
The Lowdown: Ophelia’s is always entertaining, and it’s bringing in favorites from the regular menu to the DRW menu: Grilled octopus to start, mushroom and truffle duxelles flatbread as a main and fried ice cream for dessert. Root Down
Where: 1600 W. 33rd Ave., Denver
Cost: $35
The Lowdown: Root Down is settled in a ’50s gas station with globally inspired food. Perfect for vegetarians with dishes such as the Tofu “Paneer” which consists of fried tofu, harissa carrots, roasted eggplant, red chile, tomato-fennel and cilantro chutneys. Meat lovers will enjoy the Tender Belly pork loin. Many of the dishes can be made gluten-free upon request and a few can be made vegan. See the full menu.
Satchel’s on 6th

Cost: $35
The Lowdown: This upscale-casual, New American restaurant is located in the Denver Country Club and all of the food is locally sourced. DRW menu items include bacon-wrapped country pate, smoked mackerel, poached steelhead and milk-braised pork. There’s also a St. Louis gooey butter cake on the menu for dessert and you won’t want to skip that. See the full menu.
Spuntino

The Lowdown: Spuntino is known for making Italian dishes from scratch, including bread, cheeses, pasta, gelato and more. Run by a husband-and-wife duo, Spuntino offers a DRW menu that leaves people wanting more. Start with any of the antipasti and dive into the second course of Maiale—braised Tender Belly duroc pork checks with Grateful Bread polenta, house-made chorizo and broccoli rabe. See the full menu.

The Lowdown: Wayward is the third restaurant from the people who gave you The Way Back and American Grind.
