The Low Down: Imaginations will soar at this evening dedicated to finding creative inspiration through atypical avenues. Hosted by the Colorado American Marketing Association, Recess features eight outside-of-the-box speakers who will share how they stay inspired through ingenuity, play, and challenges. Adult coloring books are an added bonus for attendees.
Community Day at the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys
The Low Down: Coloradans and visitors alike are invited to enjoy free admission to the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls & Toys on May 1. Voted one of the top museums in Denver by Denver A-List, this eclectic collection of exhibits aims to provide education and the cultural preservation of visual arts using miniatures, dolls and toys.

The Low Down: As a local DIY venue, Rhinocerpolis is no stranger to the experimental and interactive. The Fullon Compadres art show and screening promises to be a perfect mash-up of both elements, with a night of skateboard-centric art, sculptures, and a 9 p.m. premiere of Fullon Compadre’s most recent skate video. There will also be live music and indoor skateboarding for all the local shredders in attendance.
Documentaries on Display
The Low Down: Join Graduate students from CU Boulder in a free screening of their short narrative documentary projects. Ranging from local personal stories to tales of international treks, these short narrative films follow a single character or concept in an effort to explore deeper elements of humanity.
Denver Promise Walk for Preeclampsia

The Low Down: Since 2004, the Promise Walk for Preeclampsia™ has been a primary awareness and fundraising event for the Preeclampsia Foundation. This free annual walk aims to raise public awareness and funding for the millions of mothers and babies affected by preeclampsia every year. Since its inception, the event has raised over $1.8 million dollars for research and patient care.
