The Get Down: Red Rocks and Epic Fests

Hello, and welcome to another weekly Get Down update from 303. This week is stacked on stacked on stacked with great shows and opportunities for getting down. From Larimer Lounge to Red Rocks, to festivals in the mountains, no one in colorful Colorado should go without tunes this week.

Neon Trees @ The Ogden

Neon Trees is hitting the Gothic Theater on Monday, June 15th. The Utah natives are gracing up with their presence as they embark on their nationwide tour, An Intimate Evening with Neon Trees Tour. This pop group consistently gives a great show, and this time around will be supported by Alex Winston.

The show starts at 8 PM and is $25.00 in advance and $28.00 the day of the show.

Peter Frampton and Cheap Trick @ Red Rocks Amphitheater

Tuesday night offers the legendary Peter Frampton at Red Rocks, exciting classic rock fans everywhere. Not to mention, none other than Cheap Trick will accompany the “Do You Feel Like We Do” and “Baby I Love Your Way” rocker.

The show begins at 7:30 and tickets are running from $39.50 and $79.50.

Belle and Sebastian @ Red Rocks Amphitheater

Following the Frampton show, Red Rocks is keeping the week moving with Belle and Sebastian performing the very next night. The Scottish Indie-Pop band is on tour in support of their newest album Girls in Peacetime Want To Dance. Luckily for these fans, Belle and Sebastian will be playing alongside the Colorado Symphony.

The show will begin at 7:30, with tickets costing anywhere from $43.00 to $50.00.

Telluride Bluegrass Festival @ Telluride, CO

It is once again time for the greatest bluegrass festival in the world. Join the many members of bluegrass culture in four days of string bliss. In the valley of Telluride Town Park, thirty bands will perform to their most devoted fans. Boasting the likes of Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Leftover Salmon, and so many more, the 42nd year of the festivals is proving to be one of the best yet.

The Festival goes from Thursday, June 18th to Sunday June 21st.

Sonic Bloom Festival @ Hummingbird Ranch

The second of two excellent festivals this weekend is going to be the Sonic Bloom Festival in Hummingbird Ranch. The Tenth Year Family Reunion, as it is being called, is bound to make some unforgettable memories for its participants. With two sets of Sound Tribe, Shpongle, Talib Kweli, and the recently announced Motet, one can be expected to groove all four days away.

The Festival begins Thursday, June 18th and goes until Sunday June 21st. Tickets are still available online.

Royal Thunder @ Larimer Lounge

The Georgia native hard rock band Royal Thunder joins Denver in celebration of their 2015 album Crooked Doors. They will be supported by Wild Throne and others.

The show starts at 9 PM and is $12.00 the say of the show

Thievery Corporation @ Red Rocks

The annual June Thievery Corporation show continues on this year, on Friday June 19th. The eclectic group will perform with Mayor Hawthorn as an opening, supporting act. The group returns with a new under their belt and a Colorado fan base that is stronger than ever.

This show kicks off at 7:30. The tickets are going for $42.50 with $100.00 VIP tickets available.

Westword Music Showcase @ Golden Triangle District

Annual Westword Music Showcase is back again, for the 21st time! The festival is housing over 100 bands, all spread out over Saturday, June 20th in the Golden Triangle District. Headliners Flume, Misterwives, and the Black Angels are set to make for an impressive time.

General Admission is $40.00 and VIP will be $100.00

Rebelution @ Red Rocks

If that weren’t enough Red Rocks shows for the week, then good thing we still have Saturday! The California based reggae favorite Rebelution is yet again bringing good vibes to the mile high. The night beings with Del The Funky Homosapien and then Tribal Seeds before the main crooners take over to showcase their newest albume, Count Me In.

Del will get started around 7:30 PM, and tickets are $39.50.
