Jahni Denver, the MC who reps the city he’s from in his namesake, has released “Promise Land,” the first single from his long awaited album Mountain Lion Pt. 2;The Shaman. The single features Krizz Kaliko of Strange Music fame and the griot style of rapping from Jahni Denver. The behind the scenes footage is a clip from the documentary, The Shaman; The Evolution of Jahni Denver is set to accompany the album. The imagery will entail the making of the album, Jahni’s evolution as an MC and an artist as well as exclusive footage of the record.
For “Promise Land,” Jahni and Krizz came together over the Mo Heat production to tell a story about the place of Jahni’s birth and coupled with Krizz’s searing vocals, the story is most certainly soul stirring. An interesting factor in the making of Mountain Lion Pt. 2; The Shaman lies in the writing of the album. Jahni Denver says he wrote the same album three times over before actually continuing with this final product. The album boasts of appearances from Scarface, Snow Tha Product, and more.

Having worked with Bizzy Bone for past projects, Jahni Denver is creating a lane of rap music that is soulful, progressive in its production and artful in its delivery.
