This week’s “Style Crush” comes from a studded Miley Cyrus at a star-studded night in Miami, Fla.

Punk is projected to be a major fall trend and who does punk better than our favorite spiked-platinum blonde?

Cyrus wore a black, vintage Versace mini-dress to co-host the iHeart Radio Ultimate Pool Party at the Fontaine Bleau on June 29. The cutouts, gold décor, and strappy dogchain-esque collar exude edginess.

The simple black pointed heels allow the eccentric dress to take center-stage. To finish off the look, classic red nails and rows of gold earrings add a feminine touch that accents the punk look fabulously—making the look red carpet ready.

Fashionistas hold on to your air guitars, punk is back!

The 2013 Met Gala last spring gave a preview to the rebirth of the iconic punk style. Celebrity attendees put their best “steel-toed foot forward,” adorning the event with punk flair.

The Costume Institute’s fashion exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC is currently spiked, pierced and grungy. Through August, the “PUNK: Chaos to Couture” exhibit showcases punk’s fashion influence from the 1970’s through today.

So, how do you incorporate this trend into your wardrobe without being mistaken for a Sex Pistols groupie? Luckily for us, Miley’s punk style goes from the spotlight to the street. Her black combat boots and stacked gold chain necklaces and bracelets subtly add a touch of edginess to the casual look.

By simply adding accessories or a punk print T-shirt, a look is transformed just the right amount. Keeping the punk accents subtle deters the outfit from looking costume-y, while still being totally bold!

Miley Cyrus “can’t be tamed” and we love it. Rock on!
