As fall rolls around and summertime’s coming to an end, it’s time to get back into healthy habits. I don’t know about you, but I tend to relax a bit with my food and fitness regimen during the hot summer months, spending more time sipping cocktails and barbecuing with friends. Sure, with fall comes cooler temperatures and less outdoor activity opportunities, but don’t let the falling thermometer deter your focus.

If you do, however, find yourself planted firmly on the couch more hours than usual, at least take advantage of this time by spending it watching something educational (healthfully speaking) … check out Jackie Warner’s new Bravo show, Thintervention.

This 42-year-old hard body is widely acclaimed for her experience training celebs as well as her previous show on Bravo, Work Out, and very successful fitness DVDs such as ” Workout: One on One Training With Jackie.” While Thintervention seems to be riding on the coattails of  The Biggest Loser’s fame, any series on Bravo is sure to bring the drama. Warner works with her clients in their everyday lives, kicking butts during grueling workouts on California beaches or in her LA gym. Cast-members include Jeana of The Real Housewives of Orange County, as well as seven other non-celeb LA area individuals looking to lose a few.

If reality television isn’t your thing and you’d rather watch penguins mate on Animal Planet, at the very least tune in to brush up on the proper way to do a lunge, thrust a squat, or keep that sugar, alcohol, and white bread out of your mouth. Warner is a pretty tough trainer and has obviously been successful in what she does. While this series just debuted on Labor Day, I find Warner’s tactics inspiring and am sometimes, embarrassingly enough, tempted to keep a notebook by my side as I watch so I can jot down some tips and tricks…fitness geek that I am. If nothing else, just take a look at her abs and you’ll find instant inspiration to start crunching away.
