For as long as I can remember I have been helping my sisters wax, bleach and annihilate their body hair. I think it would be safe to say I served as the executive assistant to the follicle modification operation. I would help in any and every way I could, heating, mixing, pulling or wiping. You name it. It felt good helping my big sisters feel more beautiful and less like our bearded Italian relatives we have never met. It gave me a sense of importance- something youngest children seldom feel. As I aged and grew my own body hair I understood the significance of a hair remover confidante, and quickly appreciated my sisters and this bond our heritage has created. So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that my best friend is a furry Latina and we have been waxing each other from the age of 12. Nor that I gifted her a pair of Tweezerman tweezers this past Christmas.
