The state’s hottest firefighting men and women took to the runway at Denver’s Exdo Events Center, competing for their very own month on the 2011 Colorado Firefighter Calendar for Fired Up for Kids. The smokin’ firefighters answered questions in their navy blues and, later, strutted their washboards to prove why they deserve to be in the 2012 calendar. Celebrity judges included Becky Ditchfield (9News), Chris Parente (The Deuce), Jamie White (106.5 The Buzz), Erica Boniface (Metromix Denver), Joanne Davidson (The Denver Post), Matthew Morris (Matthew Morris Salon), and 303’s own editor in chief Laura Standley. All proceeds from event and calender sales benefit the Children’s Hospital Burn Center.

This was a great event! We are so pleased that Corey Piper is one of the 2012 calendar firemen! He is the best! And Steve’s photography is amazing, but to capture the amazing essence of this incredible event, you must commit to attending at least once in your lifetime! What a total blast! And it was HOT in there!
