After taking a break to focus on her wine consulting business, SwirlGirl Enterprises, chef, sommelier and wine columnist Kendra Anderson is stepping back into the food service game.
This summer, she will open Bar Helix — a bar and lounge hybrid focused on masterful food and beverage pairings.
Located in RiNo, Bar Helix will have both an outside patio and an indoor lounge. Inside the lounge, community tables provide a place to socialize and mingle. More private seating is also available for intimate get-togethers. Regardless of where they sit, patrons can look into the open kitchen to watch their food as it is prepared.
Bar Helix will serve seasonal wine cocktails paired with sweet and savory small plates. Its drink menu will also feature beers and by-the-glass wines from lesser-known producers.
Bar Helix isn’t the only wine concept opening in RiNo this summer. Between the newly opened Bigsby’s Folly to the forthcoming Paired, wine concepts are having a moment in the area.
Bar Helix is set to open later this summer, but the exact opening date has yet to be announced.
Bar Helix will be located at 3440 Larimer St., Denver. It will be open Wednesday through Monday 4 p.m. to midnight.
