The Low Down: What’s better than dogs dressed up in Halloween costumes? A rooftop view and some wine to sip on, both for your dog and yourself to accompany the costume party. Apollo Peak Pet Wines is hosting the Halloween Gala & Dog Wine Tasting at the MetLo Rooftop from 8 – 11 p.m. this Thursday night, where there will be a costume contest for your furry friend and a variety pet wine available, like the CharDOGnay.

The Low Down: Terminal bar in Union Station will celebrate its second annual Spooky Speakeasy this Friday for an evening of haunting and Halloween themed drinks. The party will have a live DJ set, and will take place in the Lower Gallery Level.

The Low Down: If you’re looking to sip on beer and listen to three bach cello suites, grab your classical wig and black tie (it’s an optional party attire for the event) and go to the River North Brewery this Friday for an intimate and informative evening. Cellist Steuart Pincbome will be performing the three bach cello suites, with a discussion interwoven about each, that will be matched with three River North Brewery beers. This is the last show of the year for Steurt Pincbome, and an opportunity for classical music lovers to hear three cello suites and sip on beers.

The Low Down: Come celebrate Dia de Los Muertos, known as the Day of The Dead, with the Larimer Arts Association this Friday. The Low Down: Grab your broomsticks witches, there’s about to be a ball. With the event dating back to 1991, this year will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Denver’s premium Pagan masquerade ball. There will be a costume contest, a “Game of Thrones” Trivia contest, a dragon egg hunt for prizes and music by Potcheen, Daenerys and the Targaryens, Sensory Orchestra and Orpheus Pagan Chamber Choir. In usual fashion for the event, there will be a free Samhain ritual at midnight.

The Low Down: Summoning all costume and party lovers, Coloween is celebrating its 9th annual Halloween costume party. There will be two levels of haunted hallways and ballrooms, as well as entertainment throughout the Curtis Hotel, featuring five DJs and That Eighties’ Band. Of course, there will be some scary entertainers and whacky costumes. The event features an open bar with the purchase of a ticket, but one must make it through the labyrinth to find one of the 28 bars available.

Take a walk on the darker side and enjoy libations from Lee Spirits Co, play with a giant Oujia board, get tattoos from Landmark Tattooers and even experience what it’s like to lay in a coffin (but no really, there will be a wooden coffin to lay in). And like most celebrations of death, come dressed in black.

Though it might be chilly, the heat will still radiate the Rocks from these artists’ performances, especially after the release of Mac Miller’s latest album The Divine Feminine.

The Low Down: Departure is throwing a rooftop party this Monday from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. DJ LIVE will spin poolside all night long to keep the blood flowing on All Hallow’s Eve. The event will have no cover charge, however, seating is first-come first serve so don’t be late trying to perfect your costume. Options for bottles service and cabanas can be fulfilled through reservations. It is 21+.
