Nothing says Colorado like beer, football and the good ol’ outdoors. From a variety of tastings, an outdoor movie night and a Bronco’s brunch, we’ve got you covered for the week.

Monday, September 12

Beer & Cheese Tasting

Where: Alpine Dog Brewing Company, 1505 N Ogden St

When: 6-8 p.m.

Cost: $20

The Low Down: What better way to spend a Monday than drinking beer and eating cheese. Alpine Dog Brewing Company and MouCo Cheese Company have joined forces for the perfect four pairings of cheese and beer with an additional “Guest’s Choice” sample. Following the tasting, guests will have the option to tour the local craft brewery led by an Alpine Dog professional. Tickets can be purchased at the door or on Eventbrite. The event is limited to 50 guests with additional beer and cheese samples available after the initial pairings for an extra charge. The taproom will remain open until 10 p.m.

University of Beer Tasting: Diebolt Brewing Co.

Where: The Walnut Room, 3131 Walnut St

When: 7-8:30 p.m.

Cost: $20

The Low Down: Learn about Diebolt Brewing Company all while enjoying a beer and appetizer pairing provided by the Walnut Room. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the tasting starts at 7:30 p.m.

Spanish Wine Dinner

Where: Red Square Euro Bistro, 1512 Larimer St 

When: 6-9 p.m.

Cost: $55 per person

The Low Down: Add a little Spanish culture into your Wednesday dining experience by indulging in a five-course Spanish inspired dinner from Chef Brandon. Dinner will be accompanied by wine pairings from Marqués De Cáceres.

Outdoor Movie Night

Where: Great Divide Brewing Company, 2201 Arapahoe St.

When: Gates open at 6 p.m. movie begins at 8:30 p.m.

Cost: Free admission, $3 Great Divide beers

The Low Down: Spend one of the last summer nights sipping on beer and enjoying The Big Lebowski on the big screen. Bring your own chairs and arrive early to claim your spot. Although a food truck will be on site, guests are welcome to bring their own food. The film will show on the south side of the building in the employee parking lot. Parking is limited at The Source. The event is sponsored by the Dylan Apartments and Alamo Drafthouse Denver.

Citrus Beer Tasting at Black Project

Where: Black Project, 1290 S Broadway, Denver

When: 6-11 p.m.

The Low Down: Taste Black Project’s secret tap, Starsailor, with added volcanic sea salt and more than 1,000 lemons and limes. Starsailor is a unique brew with a margarita twist that pairs well with tacos from Adelita’s.

4th Annual Elitch Gardens Thrills & Pils’ BrewFest

Where: Elitch Gardens

When: 12-5 p.m.

Cost: Season Pass Holder $15, Non-Season Pass Holder $46.99

The Low Down: Ride all of your favorite theme park attractions and taste an unlimited amount of beer and cider samples from 40 companies like Odell Brewing Co, Great Divide Brewing Co and Upslope Brewing Co. For tickets and a list of participating breweries, visit their website.

Game Day Brunch Buffet

Where: The Ritz Carlton, Denver

When: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Cost: $28 per person, $14 for children 12 and under

The Low Down: Celebrate the kickoff of the Broncos season with a morning feast of Elway’s favorites–such as, potatoes and USDA prime strip loin. Other options include breakfast burritos, omelets, french toast and much more. For an additional $14, indulge in bottomless mimosas or bloody mary’s.
