The Lowdown: What better way to relax and unwind from the the week than with some early morning yoga? What better place to practice than surrounded by the incredible living museum that is the Denver Botanic Gardens? Enjoy the last of the warm summer mornings by participating in Sunrise Vinyasa with the Gardens twice a week. Summer practices take place outdoors in the Garden amphitheater. You must bring your own mat, towel and water.
Museo de las Americas – 25th Anniversary Celebration

The Lowdown: Museo De Las Americas educates the Denver community on the diversity found within Latino Americano art and culture from ancient times to contemporary times through unique exhibitions and programs. This weekend the museum invites you to help celebrate its 25th anniversary with ethnic food, art and performances. Musical performances will include Barrio Funk and dinner will feature traditional dishes from Cuba, Mexico, Columbia and Peru.
17th Annual Lafayette Peach Festival

The Lowdown: Peach pies, peach cobbler, peach smoothies, oh my! The 17th annual Lafayette peach festival celebrates the world-renowned peaches from Palisade, Colorado. The festival will host food vendors, antique dealers and works from some of the Front Range’s finest artists. There will also be family-friendly activities and live entertainment throughout the day.
History Hounds

The Lowdown: When you take your dog for a walk this weekend, do it with the History Hounds of Denver and you’ll have just as much fun as your pup. History Hounds is a program put on through History Colorado. This walking tour will take you on a guided stroll through different areas of Denver while sharing some fun history facts about your city. All dogs must be up to date on shots and on a leash throughout the tour.
6th Annual Pajama Jog 5k

The Lowdown: If you and your friends were looking for an excuse to wear those matching onsies, look no further. When you roll out of bed on Saturday morning, you don’t even have to change out of your pajamas for this jog. Stay comfy, get fit and support a good cause all at the same time with the 6th annual Pajama Jog 5k hosted by Sleep Tight Colorado. Sleep Tight Colorado is a Denver organization whose mission it is to provide the Colorado homeless community with sleeping bags, because it is their belief that everyone deserves a warm night’s sleep.

Pokemon Go Bar Crawl

The Lowdown: The craze isn’t over yet — Pokemon Go fanatics are still out there training their Pokemon and taking down gyms and this weekend they are gathering together for an epic all-night collaboration of bar-hopping and Pokemon-catching. Join in to meet fellow Pokemon trainers, receive awesome drink specials and, of course, gain a ton of Pokemon Go experience points. The event will start at Beryl’s Brewing Co.
