Late July is the perfect time to catch a concert at Red Rocks and thankfully the venue is hosting a show everyday this week. This week is also the best for seeing a local or homegrown act, as Colorado bands are headlining venues from The Larimer Lounge to Red Rocks.

Recommended: Sufjan Stevens with Rhye @ Red Rocks Amphitheater
Indie singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens is making a stop at Red Rocks Amphitheater as he wraps up his tour for Carrie & Lowell that brought him to Coachella, Sasquatch!, Boston Calling and Pitchfork Music Festival.
Not only is Stevens is bringing his own chill, psychedelic sound to Colorado’s best venue, but he’s sharing the stage with the LA-based R&B duo Rhye.

Recommended: Portugal. The Man @ The Fox Theatre
Portugal. The Man is making a stop at Red Rocks this week, but that show has long been sold out. The band’s concert at the Fox doesn’t have any regular sale tickets left either, but you can find resales for around $50, which isn’t a bad price to see perfection.

Recommended: Greensky Bluegrass @ Red Rocks Amphitheater
Greensky Bluegrass is bringing their banjo, mandolin, dobro and guitar to Red Rocks on Saturday.
The band hailing from Michigan fuses acoustic rock and bluegrass to make an interesting hybrid. Though the music is intricate, the talent and impeccable stage presence of the band gives it a flair that makes the show a must-see.

Both Panic! and Weezer have a different, exciting style of music, but together they meld perfectly for the best summer concert you can find.
