The Low Down: It’s been a year since Avery Brewing opened its new brewery doors and they want you to celebrate with them. There will be brewery-wide cheers every hour and plenty of social media giveaways. In honor of its new website, built by Boulder agency Mondo Robot, they’ll be tapping a new beer, Mondo Roboticus. You have to try the blood orange-infused barrel-aged Belgian-style quadruple for yourself, they say it’s killer.

The Low Down: Brewed Food is at it again for this week’s collaboration with New Belgium and Rebel Restaurant. Celebrate brewers as chefs and the brewhouse as a kitchen at this special food and beer event. Start off your four-course meal with Pig Heart Yakitori and end with a Blackberry Barleywine dessert. The exciting menu alone will have you happy you joined.

The Low Down: Culinary Pairings is matching a local chef, local brewery and distillery for a night of collaboration and conversation this Friday. Chef David Anderson of Second Home Kitchen + Bar has created a selection of small plate dishes and Call to Arms Brewing will present paired beers alongside an assortment of paired cocktails from Golden Moon Distillery & Speakeasy. Enjoy an evening of food and drink perfection as culinary, brewing, and distilling worlds collide.

The Low Down: With a minimum of five sour taps at all times, First Draft Taproom & Kitchen will pour over 50 different sour beers in February. Head on over to be educated and enlightened with one of America’s growing craft beer trends. The rotating list will include notable sour beers from breweries like Russian River, Crooked Stave, and Trinity Brewing. If you haven’t experienced First Draft yet, stop by this month to pour your own beer and taste at your own pace.
