Written & Directed by Victor Levin

Set in Manhattan, city of chance encounters, Victor Levin’s debut feature is a refreshingly modern look at the affair that develops after aspiring young writer Brian (Anton Yelchin in a strong performance) inadvertently meets Arielle (Berenice Marlohe), the sophisticated wife of a French diplomat.

Besides Yelchin and Marlohe, the film also features Glenn Close, Frank Langella, Olivia Thirlby and Jeyln deBoar.

Director Victor Levin will be in attendance for the Red Carpet premiere.

A likely Oscar contender, Benedict Cumberbatch (TV’s Sherlock) stars in this tense biopic of Alan Turing, pioneer of modern computing and the man who cracked the Germans’ Enigma code during WWII. A determined savant, Turing was not only good at cracking secrets, but also at keeping them.

Imagine The Social Network set in the 30’s England. Norwegian director Moretn Tyldum (the criminally underseen Headhunters) makes his English-language directed a talented cat led by Cmberbatch and the marvelous Kiera Knightley, from all them Pirate movies.

Sorry, but Benedict will not be in attendance as the festival could not secure enough barricades to keep his adoring fans at a safe distance.

Leighton Meester (TV’s Gossip Girl) plays Eleanor, who’s homeless and jobless after breaking up with her rocker boyfriend (Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong). She forms an unlikely friendship with a 12-year-old musical prodigy who lives in a castle. It proves to be a harmonious alliance.

Actor/writer/director Frank Whaley (Career Opportunities) reveals a sensitive side in his latest feature, a tale of isolation-turned-friendship across class and age lines.

Frank will be in attendance for a post-screening Q&A.

Stay tuned every few days as we will highlight films that you need to see at this years 37th Starz Denver Film Festival.
