The Low Down: Denver distillery Leopold Bros is a Colorado favorite, and now they are set to open a tasting room in their newer, bigger distillery. Tours will also be available, so if you love Leopold’s small batch whiskeys or any of their other craft spirits, plan on checking out the latest addition to Denver’s drinking scene in November.

Masterpiece Delicatessen Partners with the Pepsi Center

Where: Available on the Club Level at the Pepsi Center

When: Serving now.

The Low Down: In a new partnership with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, Masterpiece Deli and its executive chef/owner Justin Brunson (also of Old Major and Denver Bacon Company) will now be offer a “Sandwich of the Event” at the Pepsi center along with in-suite catering and in-seat sandwich box orders. So head to your next Pepsi Center event hungry and try options like the cubano, or their BBQ smoked turkey made with Denver Bacon Company bacon.

Choctoberfest

Where: Mariott Denver Tech Center, 4900 S Syracuse Street in Denver

When: Friday, October 17th 4-10pm, and Saturday, October 18th 10am-9pm

Cost: Admission: $5, children under 5 are free. Ride the lightrail or a bike and get half off admission. Taste tickets: 12 for $10, 25 for $20.

The Low Down: Are you a chocolate lover? Then head to the Tech Center this weekend for Choctoberfest, a showcase of the best chocolate indulgences from Colorado and New Mexico. The Low Down: This culinary event from  Heroes Like UsMile High Business Alliance and Imbibe Events celebrates, “the sustainable practices between responsible ranchers and the kitchens of Denver’s most progressive restaurants,” said Jensen Cummings of Heroes Like Us. During this special one-night edition, you’ll get to sample eats like the Confit Callicrate Beef Tongue “Cubano” from the B-Side while spending time with the ranchers who provide the meat to these restaurants along the way.
