The Crypt

  • 8 Broadway, Denver

This store is definitely not G-rated but that’s why we like it. Located on South Broadway, The Crypt is mostly known for its naughty adult wear. If we’ve learned anything from the movie “Mean Girls: it’s that: “Halloween is the one day a year when a girl can dress up like a total slut and no other girls can say anything else about it.” Here you can find pink frilly underwear to match your mouse ears. Not only do they offer lingerie, there’s also an assortment of leather, bondage and corset gear. So if you’ve decided to show a bit of skin this year, take a trip down to The Crypt. It may have just what you need.

A name known by many, Reinke Brothers costume shop has been around since the late ’60s. It all started in the basement of Greg and Chris Reinke’s parents’ basement as a haunted house. They set up plaster skulls alongside fake coffins for a spooky feel and then opened up the haunted house to the public. The attraction was a success and went on for years. To this day the costume shop still features a haunted mansion. This store is a great place to find pieces for your costume but that’s not all, it is also know for its props.
