I love nail polish. It is one of my girly guilty pleasures that I can always justify. But with work and a social calendar I don’t have time to be constantly touching up my nails from the chips and dings that are inevitable during a normal week. So this week I tried the new Sally Miracle Gel and I could not be more thrilled.

Sally Hansen introduced their Miracle Gel as the first part-lacquer part-gel manicure option. It is a true two-step process. Thee Miracle Gel does not require a base coat or excess time in between coats of polish to allow for curing.

Step 1) Apply two coats of Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Color
Step 2) Apply one coat of Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat

Voilà. Your manicure is complete. You don’t need any fancy equipment or led lighting either. The Miracle Gel Top Coat activates curing once applied to your nails and finishes in the sunlight, so you can paint your nails and get back outside. This amazing formula continues to cure over time, increasing the durability of your manicure as your workday presses onward.

Beauty Tip: Allowing your nails a few minutes to dry between coats will help set the color and provide better shine and smoother nails.

After seven days wearing this polish, celebrating a wedding weekend and cleaning my apartment the shine is still going strong.

Pros:

  • Up to 14 days of wear
  • I love the opaque colors and the rich pigments in this polish.
  • Removal is easy; no more scraping, soaking or peeling. This polish goes quickly with acetone free nail polish remover and won’t damage your nail beds by removing the top layer of nail with the polish.

Cons:

  • The applicator brush is a bit wider than a normal brush and may be tricky if you have smaller nail beds.
  • If you are a nail artist, give yourself extra time in between coats. The Miracle Gel polish can be a bit tacky when attempting designs before the top-coat is applied.

Living an outdoor Colorado lifestyle means your manicure has to be tough enough to keep up. Sally Hansen Miracle Gel is definitely a product that should be in your beauty bag and comes in over 45 beautiful colors.
