Two Denver yogis are getting called up to the big leagues. Patrick Harrington, of 5280 favorite Kindness Yoga, and Scott Anderson, Warrior Academy founder, have been tapped by the Colorado Rockies to lead Yoga Day at Coors Field.
“I had seen that other teams had been successful with a similar day,” explains Rockies’ account executive Reuben Donnelly. “There are definitely a lot of people interested in yoga in Denver. I thought it would be cool to have an event here where people could go out onto the field and do yoga.”
Around four hundred yogis bought tickets for last year’s event. Donnelly is prepared for 500 on September 7.
“We already purchased the promotional items. Our instructors Patrick and Scott are awesome. Rob Drabkin’s here this year to play music that’s a little different than having a DJ.”
Let’s hope the weather cooperates. For tickets, Rockies.com/Yoga
