I had the esteemed pleasure of interviewing Bill Dreyer and attending an exhibit last year at Clayton Lane Fine Arts showcasing some of the never before seen hat collection of Theodor Seuss Geisel, a.k.a. Dr. Seuss, along with the Secret Art of Dr. Seuss. I am excited and somewhat giddy about this year’s collection of art and new stories. This is a must attend event and Clayton Lane Fine Arts also requests an RSVP.

“Throughout his lifetime, Ted Geisel created paintings, the exclusive collection of limited edition artworks have been adapted and reproduced from Ted Geisel’s original drawings, paintings and sculptures,” states Dreyer. You can anticipate viewing A Special Collection of Sold Out Editions at this year’s special event.

Bill Dreyer, the Director/Curator for The Art of Dr. Seuss Collection became involved with curating the collection after attending a first ever exhibition in New York City in 1997 of The Secret Art of Dr. Seuss. “There before me was a glimpse at the astounding artistic legacy of Theodor Seuss Geisel, a virtually unknown side of one of America’s best known icons,” smiles Dreyer, “It was at that moment that the full breadth of Dr. Seuss’s creativity began to reveal itself.”

Every year Dreyer selects a handful of artworks out of The Art of Dr. Seuss that will be published. Dreyer will curate gallery and museum exhibitions devoted to the art and life of Theodor Seuss Geisel. Dreyer has expressed that “everyday I am rewarded as I get to share the Secret Art of Dr. Seuss with people that have never heard about the collection. Beyond that, it’s extremely rewarding to see how Dr. Seuss has positively impacted three generations of readers.”

Clayton Lane Fine Arts is located in Cherry Creek, 110 Clayton Lane, Denver, CO 80206. You can RSVP at 720.214.5263. Event is Friday, July 11th, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
