Green and glorious Saint Patrick’s Day weekend is upon us. When the four leaf clovers, beer, and Kiss-Me-I’m-Irish t-shirts are plentiful. There is so much to do in the Mile High City including the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday March 15th, and the Runnin’ of the Green top-o-the-mornin’ on Sunday March 16th. But where to drink? 303 Magazine has compiled a list of the best spots to hit in Denver on St. Patty’s Day weekend! Enjoy the Irish festivities and drink green beer responsibly.

1. Fado’s Irish Pub

This Coors Feild favorite located at 1735 19th Street is a Denver Saint Patrick’s Day party heaven. Fado’s has thrown the biggest St. Patty’s Day event in LoDo for 18 years and counting. Saturday March 15th will be the biggest day of the weekend long event. Fado’s has outdoor stages, bars, beer gardens, foot tents, and more. Single day tickets in advance are $15 and weekend long tickets are $20. The block party kicks off at 6am on Saturday, party officially starts at 10 am. Must try drink: The sweet, Irish green test tube shots being passed around by the shot girls each year!

2. Maloney’s

Located on 1432 Market Street, Maloney’s spares no expense when it comes to the Saint Patty’s Day party. Drink spirits of Ireland in the most Ireland-esque atmosphere. They’re known for giving away plenty o’ Irish swag on the holiday. Last year, I took a shirt and clover sunglasses. Plus, the location is so close to bar hop to all the best Irish spots. A fun stop on the green beer tour list. Must try drink: Classic Jameson Irish whiskey for a classic Irish bar.

3. The Celtic

The Celtic opens bright and early at 8 am on Saturday for the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade festivities. The bar’s owners happen to be natives to Ireland, Scotland and Wales. This explains the logo, “Drink like the Irish, with the Irish.” They have over 50 beers on tap and one of the widest selections of whiskey in the state. The same owners have the Irish cigar bar Delaney’s located right next door. This local hangout is a St. Patty’s Day pot-o-gold. Must try drink: Hazelnail or Rusty Nail cocktails, or a rare 21 year old Aberfeldy Scotch on the rocks.

4. The Irish Rover

The Rover is one of the best bars on South Broadway. It has no cover, live music, great food, affordable drinks, and a fun atmosphere. No wonder the down to earth bar draws huge crowds, especially this weekend. The Irish Rover’s popular rooftop deck will be slamming. Enjoy a beer on the patio and listen to some amazing, local Irish bands all day long! Must try drink: Irish car bomb shots are particularly delicious at the Rover.

5. The Tilted Kilt Pub

The Tilted Kilt opens at 10am on Saturday and serves a delicious breakfast until noon. Much needed fuel for a long day of St. Partying. The Titled Kilt always has great food and drink specials, yet is known for a friendly albeit scantily clad serving staff. A recipe for the perfect St. Patty’s Day. Stop by the bar located at 1201 16th St #120 or in the Denver Tech Center this weekend! Must try drink: The beer o’ the month is, quite appropriately, a Guinness Irish Stout.

Have a safe and happy Saint Patrick’s Day Weekend!
