Each month, the editors of the Music Desk will compile our favorite upcoming shows. Below is an assembly of our picks for February’s must-see shows. Hip-hop, jam, electronic, folk–we’ve got you covered–and you don’t want to miss these awesome live performances coming to the Mile High City.

Lotus – February 7th & 8th at the Fillmore Auditorium: Lotus will serve up two nights of their signature electronic jams. Friday Lotus will be accompanied by Poolside followed by opener Zoogma on Saturday.

The Epilogues – February 8th at Larimer Lounge: The Epilogues will bring their infectious live performance back to Larimer Lounge to keep the crowds dancing this weekend. **Look out for a 303 Magazine giveaway later this week.

2 Chainz – February 10th at the Ogden Theatre: Explosive rapper 2 Chainz will lay down his lyrical prowess in Denver on his largest solo tour to date. Layer your finest gold chains and get set for a fiery performance.

158236aPaul Simon and Sting – February 11th at the Pepsi Center: Paul Simon and Sting in Denver on one stage! Watch rock legends perform together while also treating the audience to separate solo acts. I, for one, am beyond excited to witness this greatness. You can call me Al.

The Pixies – February 13th at the Fillmore: The Pixies trio (now quartet) set out on this much anticipated show, seamlessly weaving their hits in with newer tracks. Fans can expect to be humming “Where is my mind,” for the rest of the month.

Winter Warmer Festival with Michal Menert and Polish pixiesAmbassador – February 14th at the Fillmore Auditorium: Looking for a Valentines date that will make you want to move? Catch this funky electronic show stag or with your date.

Savoy – February 15th at the Fillmore Auditorium: Electronic act Savoy hits the Fillmore for their “Get Lazer’d” tour to—you guessed it—singe the eyeballs of Denverites with an impressive laser light show accompanying a rock-infused electronic show.

Lord Huron – February 21st at the Bluebird Theater: Ben Schneider and Co. will bring their special brand of Americana folk hits to Denver. Audience members can expect to be transported to a new time and place through this unforgettable show.

 

Mayer Hawthorne — February 11th at the Ogden Theatre: Mayer Hawthorne has made strides since his 2008 debut and toured with the likes of Bruno Mars while fine-tuning his soulful voice and songwriting skills into something for the masses.

The Lawrence Arms – February 22nd at the Summit Music Hall: Chicago punk rockers, Lawrence Arms, are making a quick stop in Denver to give a rowdy performance.
