Held in conjunction with the SIA Snow Show next week, Winter on the Rocks will bring together music lovers and snow sports enthusiasts for a night of live music by hip-hop legends, Jurassic 5, and electro rock duo, Ghostland Observatory. Sam Spiegel from N.A.S.A. and Chali 2na will open. Past performers include Atmosphere, Common, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and Major Lazer. Winter on the Rocks sold out in advance the past two years, and this year’s event is poised to do the same.

Sam Warren of Icelantic Skis commented, “We’re thrilled to announce the 3rd Annual Icelantic’s Winter on the Rocks and continue to progress what has become a winter tradition here in Colorado. This show embodies the lifestyle and passion at the core of the Snow Sports industry and the Icelantic family. We look forward to being with everyone under the winter stars at most iconic venue in the world on January 31st. Don’t forget your dancin’ shoes!”

While DJ duo Duck Sauce, aka A-Trak and Armand Van Helden, were slated to co-headline with Jurassic 5, travel issues forced event organizers to search for alternative talent. The solution is a special treat for electronic music lovers, as Ghostland Observatory was selected as a replacement. The Austin based pair is currently on an indefinite hiatus, so next Friday’s performance will be a special one.
