Catch Lungs 1The Denver hip-hop scene is always on the move. At any given time anyone can have their eardrums inundated with the hottest beats or their visuals stimulated by intriguing videos. MC’s in the Mile High City are continuing to find the most innovative ways to convey their creative expression. It’s easy to find content and material to cover in the scene but gathering the very best is most key. Here at 303 Magazine, we listen to and watch everything so you don’t have to. In the instance of this piece, here are the top three videos that have crossed my desk this week for your listening enjoyment.

Wriky Knotz was Denver’s chosen Rookie of the Year at the 5280 Urban Music Awards. The MC is on a pretty unstoppable roll with this latest video. With a little assistance from Houston’s Lil Keke, the video for “Trap Life” pairs images from the hood with Wriky and company’s descriptive lyrics. Catch the guys counting money and parlaying with tattooed hustlers. Watch below:

Catch Lungs is always a rhyme favorite. The MC can flip and whip his rhymes around in such a way that his flow might be the most diverse coming out of the city. For the song “Nip Tuck,” this Eric Heights shot video is simple and gorgeous. The coloring highlights Catch’s determined lyrics (“God has loaned me this life and I will pay him back”) and bragging flow. Watch below:

The MC’s from Slaphouse Records keep it laid back and cordial in the video for “Have it All.” The Will Guice featured track is one for the ladies, no doubt. The shots of downtown Denver on a snowy evening with an impending sunset give this a feel good vibe. The lyrics from YC and Sweeze Money complement Guice’s super smooth vocals. Watch below:
