Nearly 1,000 guests attended the fifth annual Red Ball on Sunday night in observance of World AIDS Day. The fashion-forward runway experience was produced by Denver Colorado AIDS Project and featured 20 local designers and 16 local salons. As one of the largest fashion events Denver has to offer, the Red Ball was packed full of cutting-edge looks I loved.

Jump of Joy:

Using the color red was obviously a huge element in the show. However, instead of draping their models in red, I loved the accent pillbox hat Jump of Joy sent down the runway. The black lace top was deliberately and beautifully constructed to leave little to the imagination but was perfectly presented to blend both contemporary and classic.
Gino Velardi:

I fell in love with Gino Velardi’s red gown at first sight. The deep V draws attention to the meticulous embellishment at the neck of the dress. This sultry piece grabbed my attention and didn’t let go. The silky fabric and flowy silhouette created stunning movement that was almost like fluid as the model walked the runway.
Baskit:

Are you surprised? How could I not love this look? Baskit delivered a notable segment as their models bared it all — almost. From briefs to basics, the collection was red hot. The models displayed bold pieces designed to provide the stylish man with quality underwear that’s functional and comfortable.
Regal Rowe:

The appropriately titled brand, Regal Rowe, presented looks that were absolutely that — regal. This garment was exquisitely detailed and precisely constructed. The variety of texture and color were thoughtfully coordinated to create a look I can only describe as positively dizzying. As the gown surfaced on the runway, I was hugely impressed with the craftsmanship behind the design.
Lisa Wear Clothing:

I’m undecided on whether it’s a robe, coat or cape. Regardless, Lisa Wear Clothing’s outerwear was on point. I’m not surprised this look made the list because I’m obsessed with mixing prints this season. The metallic dress aside bold primary colors intrigued me. The urban-evening look by Lisa Wear Clothing took pieces that could be considered conflicting and made them compatible instead.
