Summer time and the upcoming 4th of July Weekend doesn’t mean that the Art isn’t still out there to be enjoyed and purchased. What it means is that you have more opportunities to get out there and experience the Arts. If you’re staying in town there is no better excuse then to wander around your town as if you are a tourist.

Lucky DeBellevue's Chenille Stems @ Dikeou Collection

Lucky DeBellevue’s Chenille Stems @ Dikeou Collection

The Dikeou Collection is always a favorite stop no matter what the artistic content is, as it is a “collection” of diversity in creative tones.

Saturday, July 6th, 2013, the Dikeou Collection is hosting a Free Family Saturday Workshop, 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. “This month’s project focuses on the work of New York Artist, Lucky DeBellevue, and his use of chenille stems, also know as pipe cleaners, to create fantastic web-like sculptures. DeBellevue’s use of this common yet nontraditional material enables him to make works that range from large and interactive, to small and decorative. Participants of all ages will twist and weave colorful chenille stems to create their own Lucky-inspired artwork.”

The Dikeou Collection is located 1615 California Street, Suite 515, Denver, CO 80202. Visit www.dikeoucollection.org or https://www.facebook.com/events/631826793514054/ for more information.
