For those of you familiar with the grueling Tabata workout, then 3 hours of it ought to sound like an intriguing challenge. For those of you who don’t know what it is? The details:

  • Where: DumbBells Too Fitness, 16th Street and Tremont
  • When: Saturday, May 11 — 12 to 3 p.m.
  • Cost: free (optional donations accepted — 100 percent of funds raised will go to the cause)
  • Why: To help spread the word about the importance of wearing sunscreen and protecting our skin from the sun’s effects.

Bonus: I’ve gathered some pretty incredible door prizes for those in attendance.  Massages, personal training sessions, Pilates classes, a Go SPF Yourself t-shirt, and more. Don’t worry, you don’t have to participate in the workout to be eligible. Just show up and cheer everyone on. They’ll need the reinforcement, trust me.
