May2012LogoNothing beats a summer night with a glass of wine.

I have a feeling that I am going to be spending my summer nights at Infinite Monkey Theorem (IMT).  They just kicked off their Summer Nights calendar of unique events, so you have no reason to sit at home this summer. IMT has you covered all the way until you pull out those cardigans when the weather brings a new chill.

Of course wine will flow at the Denver-based urban winery IMT but they plan on serving up a cornucopia of music, food and entertainment to Denver crowds this summer. Local supper clubs, Mexican street food, and Friday night parties that you may or may not remember all take place at the Lot. The Lot is IMT’s 3,000 square feet of outdoor space located at 3200 Larimer St. in Denver’s River North Arts District. Fabulous events will take place at the IMT Infinite Triangle Bar and urban restaurant garden.

The Breakdown:

Second Wednesday’s Supper Club: Every second Wednesday IMT will host an intimate dinner starting at 7pm with local supper clubs paired with IMT wines. Featured supper clubs ready to pair up with the crew include Noble Swine Supper Club, Rendezvous and Locality Supper Club. Tickets will be sold through the winery and are expected to sell out fast. Ticket prices will vary according to supper host and can be booked by calling the winery at 303-736-8376. Supper clubs are a foodie’s dream come true.

Third Thursday’s Summer Supper & Song: Try and say that three times fast…after a glass of wine. Join IMT every third Thursday this summer for their new summer supper and song series.  Live music and Mexican street food from Comida Food Truck along with libations will be abundant. Arrive early for a good seat, doors open at 5 pm, as shows will begin at sunset. Confirmed performance for June 20 is South of France. Check out IMT’s Facebook page for updates on performances. Free admission!  www.Facebook.com/theinfinitemonkeytheorem.

First Fridays Open House: Drunken Monkey – Art Under The Influence In conjunction with First Friday Art Walks in Denver, IMT hosts this perfect night of food and wine. Drunken Monkey-Art Under the Influence has already earned a following of loyal attendees so you should come out and become a regular.  Gallery hopping can make you tired so head on over to the Lot for a second wind with live music, wine and pizza. Chef Kelly Whitaker from Pizzeria Basta will serve up slices of Napolitano-style pizza from his mobile wood-burning oven and run an Oyster Bar for the evening.  Free admission, doors open 6 p.m.

Tour the Winery or Taste From The Barrel If you can’t make it to a specialty night this summer, don’t forget that you can reserve a tour and tasting at the winery for only $25.  For a superior experience of learning and sipping, schedule a barrel tasting $50 a person.  The barrel tastings are recommended for groups of 6 or more. Along with a personal tour with the winemaker, you will be able to taste right out of the barrel!  This is an amazing experience for a wine enthusiast.  It shows you the important stages of wine’s journey into your glass.

Grab a Glass at the IMT Wine Lab The Infinite Monkey Theorem’s Wine Lab is one of Denver’s newest bars, offering a wide range of IMT favorite pours by the can, glass and bottle, or from the varietals served on tap. The Wine Lab is open Wednesday through Saturday 5-10 p.m. and Sunday 2-7 p.m. IMT also hosts a different Denver food truck between Thursday and Sunday, so snacks or a bite are never far away. Guest food trucks include Tenderbelly trailer, Comida, Big Kiwi’s Gourmet Eats, Big Country BBQ, Kassia’s Pasta Farm, Quiero Arepas, Caveman Cafeteria, Texorado BBQ, Smokehouse Meats, Waffleganger and OG Burgers.

Wine, food, art, and sharing it all with people that like all of those things.  I love Denver summer nights!
