Exterior, BrightHe’s done it again. Chef Frank Bonanno has opened  another restaurant, Bonanno Brothers Pizzeria.  This is his 10th addition to Bonanno Concepts,  a restaurant group that includes Mizuna, Luca d’Italia, Bones, Osteria Marco, Green Russell, Wednesday’s Pie, Lou’s Food Bar, Russell’s Smokehouse and Vesper Lounge.  Bonanno Brothers Pizzeria opened last week inside The Vistas at Park Meadows Retail Resort in Lone Tree, Colorado.  South Denver needs some food love too!

Bonanno Brothers Pizzeria is a tribute to Bonanno’s days growing up in New Jersey with his Sicilian family, folding pizza boxes at the local pizzeria in exchange for a slice of pizza, this is where his love of Italian food took root. “The pizzeria is a direct reference to my family in a couple of ways,” Bonanno says. “My family’s construction company is called Bonanno Brothers, and since we couldn’t have another Osteria Marco—named after my youngest son—we decided to name it after both of my sons, the brothers, Luca and Marco.”

Like Osteria Marco, Bonanno will serve a menu at Bonanno Brothers Pizzeria that emphasizes casual, communal dining and celebrates gatherings with friends and family. An open kitchen with an Italian wood fire oven showcases skilled pizza makers, cheese mongers and charcutiers, executing a menu inspired by his sons. Bonanno has been inspired by the concept of sharable options at the table.  Have you had their house-made burrata, creamy ricotta, or their salumi? Al have popular followings at Osteria Marco and Luca d’Italia.  I have dreams about the burrata.  It is a pillowy call of creamy goodness.Exterior, Side Angle

Bonanno has enlisted executive chef David Lindberg, previously of Luca d’Italia and Cuoco from Tom Douglas Restaurants in Seattle, to execute the menu. Joining Bonanno and Lindberg, wine director Kelly Wooldridge and beverage director Adam Hodak will debut a bar program with an emphasis on draft wines, craft cocktails on tap and microbrews.  It has all of the makings of a successful restaurant.

I can’t wait to try Bonanno Brothers Pizzeria!
