The site that celebrates all things boozie in Denver is turning two! What better way to celebrate than drinking with fellow alcohol enthusiasts? They are kicking of a three day bender beginning this Thursday, February 21 -Saturday February 23rd.  Each day will be pay tribute to three of my favorite things; beer, wine, and spirits.

The weekend begins with a six course wine dinner at Jonesy’s EatBar on Thursday, February 21.

Spend the evening with  guest sommelier Max Koepke and drink in his magical Colorado wine pairings with the six courses.

  • Course 1: Truffle Fries paired with a Colorado sparkling wine
  • Course 2: Italian Mussels paired with Canyon Wind Cellars 47-Ten Rose
  • Course 3: Savory Duck Rice Pudding paired with Two Rivers Colorado Syrah
  • Course 4: Low Country Grits paired with Two Rivers Chardonnay
  • Course 5: Meat Loaf paired with Bookcliff Vineyards Cabernet
  • Course 6: Surprise dessert paired with the Colorado Manhattan

On Friday, Denver Off the Wagon will be releasing their newest brew, Dubbel Entendre, which they brewed with Denver Beer Co.

Dubbel Entendre is a rich amber copper color with dark fruits in the aroma and a balanced malty body.  German Northern Brewer hops balance out the sweetness of the “three tons” of Belgian Candy sugar and a set the brew to bubble with an Abby Yeast.

Saturday, February 23rd begins with the Five Points Pub Crawl from 3pm-7pm.  What better way to start a Saturday? Meet at Mile High Spirits to drink your way to nightfall.

The crawl is centered around Denver Off the Wagon’s favorite Five Points watering holes: Mile High Spirits, Our Mutual Friend, The Matchbox, River North Brewing, Blake Street Tavern, Breckenridge Brewery, Whiskey Bar, and end at Star Bar. Dubbel Entendre will be available on tap at most of these locations, as well as some drink specials like $4 cocktails at Mile High Spirits and happy hour pricing at The Matchbox. Party at Star Bar form 7pm until close to end on a celestial note.
