Adam’s Conan debut should be a hoot–just like his shirt

Nearly everyone has loved The Simpsons at one juncture or another. Not everyone has dissected episodes joke by joke, though. Adam Cayton-Holland is an anomaly. While ostensibly “working” for his high school fishwrap, Cayton-Holland and his whitehead-riddled peers found time to collectively analyze the setups and punchlines of hundreds–if not thousands–of yellow-bellied laugh-getters. It was through this rigorous process that the Denver comedian discovered he swung for Team Coco (Conan penned many of his favorites). The epiphany motivated Cayton-Holland to begin shunning the Sandman long enough to catch the giant ginger’s nocturnal talk fest. Fast forward to 2013. The world didn’t come to a screeching halt with that Mayonnaise calendar thing. Conan is still on the air, albeit on a new channel at a new time. And Cayton-Holland is a road-tested funny man who has finally earned a slot on his idol’s program. Catch the Mile High clubber “do” Conan at 9 p.m. tonight on TBS (Illegal Pete’s may be hosting a viewing party). If you’ve been cyber-stalking AdamIsFreakingOutRightNow.com like I have, you’ll know a bomb threat is about as likely as Homer turning down a Voodoo Doughnut.
