It’s a good thing Labor Day isn’t until September, as white was the prevailing pigment of Night 1 of Denver Fashion Weekend, presented by Schomp BMW. Produced by Charlie Price in conjunction with Scuples Haircare and ADC Artistic Team of Antoine du Chez Salons and Spas, the fashion styling and production were played to Price’s signature tongue-in-cheek whimsy. Scantily clad men marched in bravado, sporting on-point trends seen throughout Spring 2012 shows: sportswear (as highlighted by a now-infamous band-aid), unconventional fabrics, relaxed fits and bright pops of primary color. In glorious juxtaposition, evening gowns from Soigneé Elegant Attire and Marie-Margot Bridal Couture sashayed across the runway, accompanied by pearls, ponytails, fur and, of course, Adele. Guests enjoyed libations provided by EXDO Hall and received hot-off-the-press copies of 303Magazine’s March Spring Fashion Issue. If anything like Night 1, the makeup show of Night 2 is sure to be another retinal explosion of creativity. Special thanks to the night’s sponsors and media partners: Hotel Monaco, Rio Grande, EXDO Hall, Direct Line Limousine, Unique Service Limousine, Colorful Kitty, Juno Salon, Metromix, Katie Shapiro Media, Gavin Beldt Productions, Ben Martch Productions and media personality Chris Parente.
