Obama and Jay-Z at a secret Illuminati meeting?

What do Thomas Jefferson, Queen Elizabeth II, Obama, Jay-Z and now Beyonce all have in common? If you guessed The Illuminati, then you guessed right. They are all names of alleged Illuminati  members. But who exactly are the Illuminati, and most importantly, does this secret society really still exist today?

The word Illuminati comes from the Latin word “illuminatis,” meaning enlightened one. Dating back to May 1, 1776 when Adam Weishaupt founded the Order of the Illuminati in Bavaria (modern day Germany), this secret society was made up of free masons and intellectuals. Relying on logic and science instead of traditional thoughts and religion, they were quickly condemned by the good old Catholic Church. The order grew rapidly until about a decade later when Karl Theodor became ruler of Bavaria, banning all secret societies. The Illuminati managed to survive and spread throughout Europe and some speculate that they are the cause of the French Revolution.

The eye on top of the pyramid is clearly evidence that the Illuminati still exist today

So what does this all have to do with today? Well, according to conspiracy theorists, the Illuminati still exist and are descendants of the Bavarian Illuminati. Apparently, they control the world through their political, financial and military influence. The eye on top of the pyramid on the US dollar bill is considered to be a symbol of the Illuminati. Said to have infiltrated the FBI as well as the CIA, will we ever really know the truth about their existence?

Are they just an easy scapegoat to answer life’s many mysteries, or is there really a secret, high society that controls world affairs?  How can you explain the assassination of one of America’s most beloved presidents, John F. Kennedy?  Or how about when George W. Bush won over Al Gore in the 2000 presidential election after a very controversial recount?

Did Beyoncé put up the Illuminati symbol during Superbowl Halftime Show or was she just doing the Roc-A-Fella records sign promoting her husband Jay-Z?
