I’m not one to gush over celebrity clothing lines. I mean just because you can act and look good on screen, doesn’t mean you’re capable of creating a relevant clothing line. That being said, I’m pretty excited about Lauren Conrad’s new clothing line, Paper Crown. While she was devoted to design and style long before she became a TV reality star, I was skeptical about her venturing back into the contemporary clothing market after her disappointing initial line, The Lauren Conrad Collection. And although she’s had several successful seasons designing her LC Lauren Conrad collection for Kohl’s, it wasn’t evident her skills could translate to a higher-end consumer.

But her Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising degree has served her well. The former Hills heroine is delivering a feminine, whimsical and sophisticated collection this fall. Available at Nordstrom, Singer22.com and Revolveclothing.com, the neutral-based line features a slew of youthful modern pieces – hip faux leather pants and shorts, soft romantic blouses and enchanting maxi dresses, with prices ranging from around $150-$500.

My top picks: Abigail Maxi Skirt, Serena Veggie Leather Pant, Ella Tiered Maxi Dress, and Piper Top

Will you buy Paper Crown this season?
