Read Alert: 36th Annual Book Fair

There’s nothing better than the smell of an old book, one that’s been so well loved, you have to carefully turn the crisp pages as you read.

Unless you’re getting that book for a steal.

And this weekend, you’re free to do just that at the 36th annual book fair, hosted at the Denver Central Library. In fact, there are goods starting as low as 50 cents! The fair will run through Sunday with over 70,000 items including children’s books, non-fiction and fiction books, CDs, DVDs, and books on tape.

It gets better than that. On Sunday, June 12, from 2 – 3 p.m. teachers and representatives from non-profit organizations (with valid I.D.) can take home any of the remaining items for free during the Great Book Giveaway. Plus throughout the sale, teachers with ID receive a 25 percent discount coupon.

So, here is the rundown. Stop by the Denver Central Library at 14th Avenue and Broadway. Public sales hours for the weekend are as follows: Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Cash, checks, and major credit cards are accepted.
